I was speaking with a friend last week about how our lives change when we really allow our higher levels to take command and guide us through each day. We were laughing that we don’t have to have all the answers anymore, because the answers show up. When opportunity, answers, and clarity are all provided to you by your higher realms, then you could say that you no longer “need” anything.
My friend said, “I don’t have to be smart anymore” – and I noticed a twinge of sadness in her voice. True; she doesn’t have to be smart, or beautiful, or creative, or whatever. But, just as a woman accessorizes her “little black dress”, we can accessorize our divine nature by allowing ourselves to show our intelligence (be smart), have fun with our creativity, and revel in our innate beauty.
We are continually surrounded by things that we don’t need. But these things extend the enjoyment of our lives. I don’t need for my car to be a comfortable ride, but it enhances my life experience. Comfort is a vehicular accessory that I am extremely grateful for.
Then again, there are times when these “accessories” come in handy. When I took the test to be a US Census worker, I would have had trouble passing without the math skills (no calculators allowed) and other “smarts” that I’m blessed to have. But I guess you could say that I don’t “need” the census job.
To be honest, I think that the accessories are what make life so very interesting and fun. Yes, we may not require more than basics like water, food, shelter, and such. But for me, life is about experiencing many different things and having the most fun that I can have. For me, life is not about just having the basic needs met – it is about exploring and playing and enjoying life to the fullest!
Namaste!
Susan M WrightIn my relationship with Susan, what is important to me is that I am comfortable to be me, and that Susan is comfortable and relaxed to be herself. One way to make each other comfortable is that we allow each other to say whatever comes to mind.
We don’t criticize what the other one says, or put each other down when we disagree with each other. We share our points of view and when we see things differently, we ask for guidance from our higher levels on how to proceed. Sometimes it is as simple as one of us steps back and lets the other one do things his or her way.
By asking for guidance from within, and then following our guidance, we never sacrifice or let ourselves be talked into something we didn’t want.
We have practiced this approach for a few years now and just like exercising a muscle, it gets easier with practice. Life would have been a lot more fun had I known and practiced this approach right from the beginning.
Life is good and keeps on getting better!
Lots of love,
Wolfgang
