How to set yourself free when you are not meant to fit in.
As I was watching Popstars yesterday the indigofrustration popped out of my tv. Almost every child wants to become a popstar, only a few know that they are gonna be one.
The tv show "Popstar" is a tv show that is being broadcast worldwide. Concept: one jury, many wannabe popstars and one minute to show what they have got.
Yesterday a young man directly got my interest. The first thing that striked me was his honesty, among so many wannabe popstars who seemed to be out of integrity. He had no 'air', just wanted the opportunity to do 'his thingy' and live out his passion.
When the moment came for his audition I was very curious and just knew it was gonna be amazing. He started playing the most fantasting beatbox with his mouth, and in between the poefs and pafs to show the rythm he sang a song. He was faster than Woody Woodpecker!
The jury was amazed, but doubted his talent for singing. He started to sing, and after twenty seconds he was asked to stop.
The jury praised his beatboxing, and said he got a very special talent. They mentioned that he was not an average popstar. By hearing this rejection the young boy changed immediatley and the energy in the room changed. He felt that he was wrong and rejected and could not hear the praises that he got for showing his amazing talent. Again, he was not meant to fit in, and all the creative energy went inwards. He was so frustrated!
I saw it happening and I thought: This is an perfect example of the indigo frustration! Being so talented, and just knowing it, living in passion, and yet so not meant to fit in. With feeling this frustration we can being too harsh sometimes, act unreasonable and agressive.
The only cure for this is not trying to fit in, and the knowing that one day the time has come that the world is ready for what we have to offer. In the meantime all we can do is make as much fun as we can, and stop trying to be the next popstar, perfect employee, daughter, friend or father. We are the stars, no need for a silly concept trying to change who you are. All we need is patience and allowing ourselves to be who we are, totally free and so not meant to fit in.
When we don't expect this anymore from ourselves we give ourselves permission to be who we are. This way we can set ourselves free and enjoy our wonderful lives. Knowing in our hearts that our future we already know is reality when time is right. We remember this to prepare us right now for what is coming.
We are exactly at the right place at the right time to see this amazing world going through one of his biggest changes ever!
