Early last week I made a flower essence from the White Magnolia that graces the view outside my office windows. I had been noticing the blooms each morning as I was attracted to the white glow emanating from the Magnolia Tree. Here is my story:

I went to bed early one night last week feeling a heavy heart and concern for the welfare of the many people facing challenges during this time of energy shift and unpredictability. (Many of us are aware of the need for this paradigm shift, knowing better than to focus on the negativity and fear the media loves to magnify.) That said, however, working with many clients in real crisis has revealed to me how very real the situation is. I am particularly concerned for young families with babies and small children who are losing their jobs, for those with special needs, and for the elderly. There is little buffer to protect and shield them from the strife and stress of loss, alienation, and hardship, and they stand vulnerable during this cultural crisis.

I awoke in the early dawn to a whispering sound. It felt as if it were a radio station coming in clear from another dimension. The intelligence filled my soul, and I heard: “We must heal the shattered aura of the heart of humanity. It is not the heart chakra itself that is tattered, but the space between the organ of the heart and the light body. This space holds the balance of love intact; creating a cushion of light that protects, comforts, and serves as a buffer to all outside negativity and invasion. When it is shattered, fear, anxiety, stress, and for some, hysteria, outlines the soul frame.” I awoke with hope that I would be guided to make a blend or an essence that would address this issue.

As I entered my office that morning, the glow of the White Magnolia, in full bloom outside my window, was magnificent! I was awed by the enchanted vision of it’s brilliant white aura and walked outside to the tree. In that moment I knew an essence must be made today! It was a perfect day in Oregon; no rain, warm sun, a beautiful blue sky, and hummingbirds were darting about everywhere! Somehow, in the bustle of my schedule, I was able to prepare an essence with ease and delicate perfection.

I have not used White Magnolia in my practice before, nor did I know of its plant signature. I chose to tune into the Magnolia plant deva, the flowers, and the energy of the tree pattern before looking up the plant properties in a reference guide. I was met by the Mary Magdalena energy, and the white pure light of The Mother from Aurobindo, and was told that I must make this essence today because the flowers wilt very easily and will not last long. It felt as if a white cape of white adorned me as I sat and contemplated the plant. The flower signature was shown to me as a grid of light so pure and delightful that it can overpower and absorb even the darkest vibrations. Negativity bows to the light of this fragrant delicacy. I could see it as a bridge of light, ushering the burdens of humanity toward the light and releasing them it into the canopy of stars above. From this alignment I could imagine what Unconditional Love looks like; a galactic vision, brilliant with light, a sight beyond anything we can imagine. Love. I then remembered my dream and was certain that this essence may serve as an agent to heal the shattered heart chakra of humanity.

Looking up the essence in reference material I discovered interesting parallels. White magnolia is commonly known by many as a linkage- holding together the energies of flower essences and serving as an amplifier to plant, gem, and flower remedies.
It is used during a healing crisis, moderating the aggravation of symptoms that often happen when healing takes place.

It regulates the strength of the healing energy provided by the essence mix to the optimum level and stabilizes protection from the outside energies, including X-rays, negative states of consciousness, and all forms of radiation. And I found these points repeated in many descriptions:

Magnolia
• For developing insight and understanding for issues one is struggling with;
• Helps one deepen spiritual awareness;
• Helps spiritually minded people with balance and integrity.

I have been taking the White Magnolia for a week now and have felt the aura of white light shimmer within my body. I reconnected to the The Mother of Aurbindo, one of my favorite spiritual teachers who served as a bridge between the world of nature and humanity through her beautiful teachings in India. I have been more attuned to the peace of garden spaces, bird song, and sweet sounds. It is my pleasure to share the White Magnolia to those of you who would like to try the beauty of this essence. I feel blessed to have been guided to a flower essence that will aid us in times of crisis, one that may link us toward the white template of Love and Protection.

SRI AUROBINDO ON THE MOTHER
The following quotes are from Volume 25, "The Mother", of Sri Aurobindo Birth Centenary Library.

The lights are the Mother's Powers -- many in number. The white light is her own characteristic power, that of the Divine Consciousness in its essence.
p. 83 (15-7-1934)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is one divine Force which acts in the universe and in the individual and is also beyond the individual and the universe. The Mother stands for all these, but she is working here in the body to bring down something not yet expressed in this material world so as to transform life here -- it is so that you should regard her as the Divine Shakti working here for that purpose. She is that in the body, but in her whole consciousness she is also identified with all the other aspects of the Divine.
p. 49-50

The Mother does not think that it is good to give up all work and only read and meditate. Work is part of the Yoga and it gives the best opportunity for calling down the Presence, the Light and the Power into the vital and its activities; it increases also the field and the opportunity of surrender.
It is not enough to remember that the work is the Mother's -- and the results also. You must learn to feel the Mother's forces behind you and to open to the inspiration and the guidance. Always to remember by an effort of the mind is too difficult; but if you get into the consciousness in which you feel always the Mother's force in you or supporting you, that is the true thing.
